ROLLED BISCUITS
2c flour
1tbs baking powder
1tsp salt
1/4c shortening
3/4c milk
Heat oven 450 F. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a mixing
bowl. Cut in shortening thoroughly.
stir in milk. Round dough on a lightly floured table. Knead
lightly 20-25 times. Roll the dough out
to about 1/2in thick then cut with a floured biscuit cutter.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes
DROP BISCUITS
2c flour
1tbs baking powder
1tsp salt
1/4c shortening
1c milk
Heat oven 450 F. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a mixing
bowl. Cut in shortening with a pastry
blender or 2 knives. Add milk and stir quickly. Drop dough from a
spoon onto a greased
baking sheet. Drop about 2in. apart. Bake 10-12 minutes.
